Some of you have asked why I only write when the matter is about “cruelty to animals.” The fact of the matter is that it bothers me to see those that can’t defend themselves abused.
On Tuesday, I saw an episode of Inside Edition. One of the stories was about a kennel where stolen and adopted dogs were treated inhumanely. The dogs were locked in small, square cages. They ate and crapped at the same place. In one scene, an undercover animal activist videotaped how the owner of the kennel sprayed the cages with high pressure cold water while the dogs were inside. The dogs’ feces and food were washed together, and in some instances, the freezing climates turned the water to ice. In another scene, a bloody table was shown on top of a dug up hill. The entire hill was piled with the skeletons of dogs. Apparently, the kennel owner would dragged dogs up the hill, and cut their hearts out to sell. The third scene was just as disturbing as the kennel owner viciously slapped a dog as it just sat there looking at him.
The exclusive ended with the reporter saying that the authorities had apprehended the kennel owner (some fat guy) and that the kennel owner would be fined $250,000 and possibly face 10 years in prison.
Money and maybe prison time…?! Somehow, that did not sound right to me. In all honesty, I ask and plead for 5 minutes in a dark alley with that sh*t. That punkb*tch will live to see tomorrow and the next day as I crack my bat across his skull, break his kneecaps, and help jumpstart his heart when I repeatedly swing at his chest until he coughs out blood. He’ll live. I’ll make sure of it. It’ll just be with a pacemaker and prosthetics. Apologies for the imagery.
Violence usually doesn’t serve as a good solution, but sometimes, I feel the Justinian Code should be implemented just for these kind of people.
